WPA Wounded Heroes Fund Golf Classic presented by UPMC Health Plan

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day than during our September 20th 2021 Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund Golf Classic – excellent weather, generous supporters, honored warriors and some pretty good golf based on the results!  With a record setting 45 groups, we were able to raise over $110, o00 for our military families and veterans. The funds from this year’s event benefit four charities that support our military families in different ways.

Austin’s Military Playrooms

An initiative of the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Austin’s Military Playrooms are cheerful playrooms for children and families of our veterans and active duty warriors. The playrooms provide a safe, calming and comfortable environment within military medical facilities for our special military families. Austin’s Playrooms allow families the ability to escape the burden of difficult or often extended medical situations and focus on health and healing. Austin’s Military Playrooms are currently operating in three locations: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune.
