Austin’s Military Playrooms
An initiative of the Mario Lemieux Foundation, Austin’s Military Playrooms are cheerful playrooms for children and families of our veterans and active duty warriors. The playrooms provide a safe, calming and comfortable environment within military medical facilities for our special military families. Austin’s Playrooms allow families the ability to escape the burden of difficult or often extended medical situations and focus on health and healing. Austin’s Military Playrooms are currently operating in three locations: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton and Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune.
