Run a Pittsburgh Marathon Event with Team Lemieux!

Run with Team Lemieux virtually or in-person in this year’s Pittsburgh Marathon to be eligible to earn great prizes and help support our cancer research, patient care and Austin’s Playrooms programs.

Participate in any of the events below and meet the fundraising minimum to support the Lemieux Foundation and receive a Team Lemieux t-shirt and more.

  • Full Marathon – $500
  • Half Marathon – $400
  • BACK Half Marathon – $800
  • Marathon Relay Team – $1,000
  • 4-Mile Fitness Challenge – $200
  • 5K – $150
  • Champions Mile – $50
  • Kids Marathon – $50
  • Toddler Trot – $50
  • Pet Walk – $50

 
Hit the fundraising amounts below and receive these prize packages:

$1001-$2499

– Lemieux Foundation Running Shirt
– 2 Tickets to a Pittsburgh Penguins 2026-27 Season Game at PPG Paints Arena (game to be mutually agreed)

$2500 and Over

– Lemieux Foundation Running Shirt
– 2 Tickets to a Pittsburgh Penguins 2026-27 Season Game at PPG Paints Arena (game to be mutually agreed)
– Pittsburgh Penguins Jersey Autographed by Mario Lemieux or Pittsburgh Penguins player (randomly selected)

To sign up, visit the Pittsburgh Marathon’s website and choose which event you’d like to participate in Sign in or create an account, and under ‘Charity Runners Run For Free’ select the Mario Lemieux Foundation. Once you reach your event’s fundraising minimum, you’ll be eligible to receive your refund.
 
All Team Lemieux runners are eligible for prize packages based on their fundraising efforts. The deadline to hit your fundraising minimum is May 15, 2027 at 11:59pm EST.
