2021 Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund Golf Classic Raises Over $110,000 for Our Military Families

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day than during our September 20th 2021 Western PA Wounded Heroes Fund Golf Classic – excellent weather, generous supporters, honored warriors and some pretty good golf based on the results!

With a record setting 45 groups, we were able to raise over $110, o00 for our military families and veterans. The funds from today’s event benefit four charities that support our military families in different ways.

The Lemieux Foundation builds Austin’s Military Playrooms in military medical facilities across the country, and funds from this event will help support renovations of the playroom at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The Austin’s Military Playroom will be moving to a new building which will double its occupancy and be located closer to the hospital.  Adventures in Training with a Purpose is dedicated to improving veteran’s lives through purposeful physical training, empowering veterans to perform tasks of daily living without the need of assistance. It’s About the Warrior Foundation assists and empowers all post 9/11 veterans and their families from the Tri-State Area, with various programs helping them lead successful lives. And finally, Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs breeds and trains medical service dogs for veterans who suffer from visible and invisible disabilities. Guardian Angels is constructing a new state-of-the-art facility in Washington County, PA.

On behalf of our charities and honored warriors, thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and friends for your support and generosity!
