Pens Charity Game Raises Over $2 Million

On Thursday, April 6, the 12th annual Penguins Charity Game on AT&T SportsNet raised over $2 million for the Mario Lemieux Foundation and Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation.

During the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Minnesota Wild game, approximately 6,600 Penguins Charity Bags were sold.  This season’s Penguins Charity Bag, inspired by Pittsburgh Penguins players, was designed to match the team’s very own equipment bag and was filled with items unique to our players and their game day experience.

Thanks to the incredible support and generosity of Pens fans, all bags SOLD OUT before the start of the second period!

Thank you again to everyone who purchased a bag or donated! The money raised will help the Lemieux Foundation’s cancer research and patient care programs as well as Austin’s Playrooms.  Click below to see videos featured during the Charity Game.
